National Pharmacy Education Day 2025: The Pharmacy Council Of India (PCI) has officially declared March 6th as ” national Pharmacy Education Day”. this day commemorates the birth anniversary of the esteemed Professor M.L. Schroff. He was a visionary and pioneer and is credited with establishing the foundation of pharmaceutical education in India. His dedication, foresight, and patriotic spirit led to the introduction of the first full – fledged three year Bachelor of Pharmacy course at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in 1937.
The theme for National Pharmacy education Day 2025 is ” Entrepreneurship & Startups in pharma and pharmacy practice: Encouraging Innovation, Incubation Centers and Pharmaceutical Startups,” under the banner of “Pharma Anveshan 2025.”
World Cancer Day 2025: World Cancer Day is an International day marked on 4 February to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. Worls Cancer Day is led by the Union for International Cancer Control to support the goals of the Worls Cancer Declaration, written in 2008.the primary goal of world Cancer day is to significantly reduce illness and death caused by cancer.
The theme for World Cancer Day 2025 was ” United by Unique“.
World Cancer Day 2025: World Leprosy Day is observed internationally every year on the last Sunday of January to increase the public awareness of leprosy or Hansen’s Disease. This date was chosen by French humanitarian Raoul Follereau as a tribute to the life of Mahatma Gandhi who had compassion for people afflicted with leprosy. The day began to be observed in 1954.
Leprosy is one of the oldest recorded diseases in the world. It is an infectious chronic disease that targets the nervous system, especially the nerves in the cooler parts of the body: the hands, feet, and face.
The theme for World Leprosy Day 2025 is ” Unite. Act. Eliminate.” with continued better medical aid and public health campaigns, the goal is to reduce stigmas besides ensuring that those affected receive proper care and support.
