Dr. Smitha Gandra working as Principal at DR. VRK WOMEN’S COLLEGE OF PHARMACY graduated from Osmania University; post graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with Pharmaceutics specialization and completed Doctor of Philosophy from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is recognised PG teacher by SPPU Pune. Dr. Gandra is recipient of grant sanctioned by Rajiv Gandhi Science & Technology Commission, Government of Maharashtra – Sanction Order No. RGSTC/File-2018/DPP-203/CR-65 for an amount of sixteen lakhs seventy thousand only.
She has published 23 research papers in peer reviewed National, International Journals, presented research articles at National and International Conferences and filed 02 Indian patents. Dr. Gandra has 18 years of both academic and industrial experience (USA) to her credentials.
Her area of research is Novel Drug Delivery Systems, Mouth dissolving Tablets, Solubility Enhancement by various techniques for poorly aqueous soluble drugs and Analytical Method Development and Validation.
She is a member of APTI and Registered Pharmacist (Regd. No. A1038975).
